Sage's debut in the school play!

So I had never heard of the play "Once on this Island" but it was the production Bridgewater Middle School was doing this year and there was no stopping Sage from trying out. After surviving auditions, she was selected for the Villager and Breeze roles. Yes, I did say Breeze. Apparently when a rainforest comes to life the Breezes blow...

For weeks on end Sage practiced both after school and on a few Saturdays to prepare for the multi night production. There was a costume to purchase, makeup to wear, and singing voices that needed to be perfected. The best part of it all was seeing how happy it made her to be a part of something like this. Next year she assures me that between her experience and grade, she'll get a bigger role. Of course we could have watched our "breeze" perform all day! And how sweet it was to see some of her friends come out to support her too!
