Hoops for Sage...

So after being such a good sport about tagging along at all her brothers' sporting practices and games it was finally time for Sage to start up in a sport! Aside from swim team last summer and a couple gymnastics and tumbling courses, Sage hasn't participated in any team sports. So this winter basketball it was! Her team was the Mason Mean Green and wow after a slow start with several losses in a row, they turned mean and didn't end up losing a game again until the semi finals which by the way was the most painful loss because it was so close. I had never seen so many crying girls at one time in one place in my life. They were absolutely devastated.

We were so proud of Sage though. She worked so hard and seeing her running up and down the full size courts made me tired just watching. Most of the girls on the team had played together last year so they had some experience but Sage did a great job keeping up. She may not be known for her basket making abilities but she made one great guard. She stuck to her person like gum on the sidewalk and no one from the opposing team was going to make a basket on Sage's clock.

The highlight of the season beside making it to the playoffs was definitely the team. Not only did Sage have great coaches but she got to play with her two best friends Annabella and Cameron and ended up making a bunch of new friends! Sadly I only captured a couple photos from the first game and the last game. Shout out to Michael and Michele for always being such great supports and doing their best to show up for the kids sporting events! It was a great season!!!
