Lifelong friends...

There are few friends the boys can say they have had since they were born but Wyatt is one of them. While we have been friends with the Moe's since we moved to NYC in 1996 it was in 2002 that these three handsome boys were delivered within weeks of each other by the same wonderful doctor, Dr. Sassoon! While our time in NYC came to an end shortly after the boys were born when we moved to NJ, we have remained in touch over the years. And if there was one thing that has kept this friendship going all these years, it would be our summer meet ups in UT. While they didn't take place every summer, they took place often enough that a solid friendship was formed between the three boys and has continued the past 18 years. These summer meet ups included attending BYU sports camps together, cooling off after at Scera Pool, going through a bunch of Nickels at the Nickel Arcade, attending EFY, ropes courses at Park City, zip lining at Sundance, climbing camp in Provo and of course sleepovers at the Moe's cabin at Sundance. And even though it would be a year or two between each meet up, the boys picked right up where they had left off. While I don't have photos from every year they met up, here are a few photos I was able to dig up from their time together over the years...

Sometime early on...

So in celebration of Wyatt's 18th birthday this year, Marilee and Wyatt came to visit us here in Florida with the focus being taking the boys to the new Star Wars Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios. From arriving at the park at 5 AM to give us the best chance of getting on the new ride to making their own light sabers, they had quite the time!

As you can see from the crowds behind us getting tickets for the Rise of the Resistance ride is no easy task and is why we had to arrive at the park so early. Here we are making our way to the Star Wars Land where you wait until 7 am to get in a "virtual queue" to get on the Rise of the Resistance ride. Talk about stress. We were just hoping we got assigned a queue and that our assigned time didn't conflict with our reservation to make light sabers that we had booked weeks earlier. Thankfully everything worked out perfectly.

Connor getting his photo with Rey...ha!

So all day Ty was joking that he wanted to see Rey. Connor was lucky enough to get his photo with her...lol...but Ty wanted to see the real Rey. So he was always keeping his eyes open for her as we strolled around the park. Well the one time he didn't have his eyes open she happened to walk right by us. Marilee, without skipping a beat, runs over to her to see if she'd be willing to take a photo next to sleeping Ty. She was kind enough to agree. But not before Marilee had already grabbed Chewie who had also walked by while Ty was sleeping and asked if he'd be willing to take a photo with Ty. Of course Ty had no idea until Connor and Wyatt posted photos on their Snap accounts. We kept waiting for Ty to check Snap to see the photo and finally he did. So funny. All credit owed to Marilee for making it happen. And by far these are the best photos of the day...

The collection. Between Wyatt's collection and the ones the boys made and the couple Jack asked us to purchase for him at the park we had quite the display...

Magic Kingdom...just because you can't visit Disney World and not feel the magic!

Ok, so maybe the boys weren't feeling the magic on It's a Small World but you can't go to Disney World and not ride It's a Small World... 😆

Another successful and fun visit in the books! I can hardly believe these boys will be heading off to college in a matter of months. I can only imagine the fun times they will continue to have together.
