Signs of spring!

So after a wet, cold, and yucky winter how nice it was to see signs of spring! Here are just a couple shots of a few flowers from our garden! Unfortunately my lovely lilies that I patiently await for all year chose to bloom the exact time we were out in Utah during the summer and what was left when I returned home was not worth photographing.

Of course the sure sign of spring is being able to open the sunroof!!!

Leave it to my sweet German friend Andrea to share with me another of her favorite places she's found since moving to the US. When she first suggested taking me to a cemetery for a nice spring walk, it sounded like something my mom would suggest but once we arrived I could see why she found it to be such a great place to spend a morning. Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum is actually the second largest cemetery in the US. It's hundreds of acres in size and includes many ponds and beautiful historical gravesites and buildings. They had a beautiful section devoted to children which you couldn't help but be moved by as we walked through. It was a lovely way to spend a beautiful morning and I now understand why it is a hot spot for not only local walkers and runners but tourists!
